The cafe I frequent is a small boutique set up by an Italian American. I order a single shot of espresso with a little bit of steamed milk. It is very close to the coffee I grew up with.

The morning routine these days is to take our new puppy with us while I drive my son to his school. On our way back, I drive up to the cafe. As I was getting my coffee, the cheerful barista spotted Scooby by my side. She offered a treat for him. And, he loved it! This was his first experience at the cafe.
