Why you should set your New Year's “Goals” now?

A few months ago, I had witnessed a side-effect of the pandemic. It was a collective call for help from the hopeless pit we are trying to climb out of. Before the pandemic, on every New Year’s eve, the search for the term ‘Fitness’ used to jump up. This was a worldwide phenomenon. Naturally, this was because we were all looking to get back on the fitness horse. We have all mocked and have been mocked about the process of setting new goals for the New Year.

Since the pandemic has begun, we have stopped setting those New Year’s goals. This year, we could do it differently though — time to restart the hope engine. Setting something up before the New Year even arrives gives us an advantage. Please allow me to explain.

Momentum

It is easier to generate momentum when you have the mental edge. Starting ahead of New Year’s eve is a way of treating yourself kindly. The mental edge comes from the fact that even if you miss a couple of days, you still have another opportunity to get back into the swing of things.
